Vibrating screens are equipment used as sample preparation equipment to separate, classify, segregate and transport granulated/lumpy materials by using inclined screens attached in various deck in various processes throughout the mining, agriculture, pharmaceutical, food, and chemical industries. Vibrating screens are those, which rapidly vibrated with small amplitude, are less likely to blind than gyrating screens. The vibrations may be generated mechanically or electrically. Mechanical vibrations are usually transmitted from high-speed eccentrics to the casing of the unit and from there to inclined screens. The setup consists of single/double/triple/multiple different screens (different apertures) with fitted on a rigid metallic frame, feed hopper, eccentric cam, drives etc. These screens of different sizes are fitted one above the other. The drives in vibrating screens are given from an electric/electro-magnetic motor.
